It can even interrupt important sleep. Although changes in prostate health are indefinitely part of every man's life, the signs and symptoms that are associated with this condition often prove too embarrassing for most men to even mention. Prostate enlargement is also known as benign prostatic hyperplasia, or BPH. It remains one of the most prevalent problems for men over the age of 60. Moreover, 90% of all men will experience at least some signs and symptoms by age 80.

Just told I have this. My C-Reactive protein is about 5.00. They want to do a biposy and Im not sure if this is a good thing or not.
I researched it abit and found that already being on Prednisone can give a false reading on the Biopsy. Also, the data (Only medical forums) shows less then 1/3 of all come back positive. But, due, to the catastrophic results of not treating for it... all patients were continued on the treament plan regardless. AKA the Biopsy results did not affect in any way the end pateint managment care plan.
Now, my doctor and the specailist feel my immune system may be jacked up. They say this biopsy can help determine if this is true... on this i have not seen anything on line yet. So, I have to totally trust them. we put it off and i did labs today to recheck the blood work - get the results Monday. So we will see where I go with this. Plus, Im have trouble with the idea of cutting on a pissed off artery to being with... seems we want it settled down first otherwise complications...
I was just diagnosed with this...very good explanation and information. I'm not loving being on prednisone for a year, but it's a low dose and I should be okay. Thanks for posting this.
